Further to an information request which resulted in an appeal hearing, the RTI Commission ordered the Land Reform Commission to allow TISL access to the information requested in relation to the list and extent of land in the possession of the LRC. The exact information requested was as follows;
- The number of acres of land which are in the control of the Land Reform Commission
- Information as to whether the Appellant can access the records of the lands held by the LRC
- The number of acres of land which have been allocated by the LRC for development projects and other public purposes on long-term leases over 20 years during the period between 2012-2016.
The LRC was ordered to furnish the information to the Appellant within 1 month, and has now called to agree upon a date, for TISL to examine the LRC’s records.
